Blairsville Underground Railroad History Center
"Pathways to Freedom"

During my time as a marketing intern for The Swoop, I was tasked with created a branding package for the Blairsville Underground Railroad History center. This package was for their new exhibit called “Our Conductors’ Stories: A Journal of Resistance.” This new exhibit includes short videos highlighting stories from the conductors involved with the Underground Railroad in Blairsville. This logo includes certain elements that may go unnoticed. The house seen in the logo is actually the museum’s silhouette. The people in the logo are actually college students that I had dress up in period costumes. I then took their pictures and turned them into silhouettes as well. Finally, the reason the Big Dipper is integrated into the logo is because the conductors would use the Big Dipper to guide them on the pathway to freedom.

You can see this logo on their website here:

Business Card

A couple with their own real estate company reached out to me to see if I could create them a logo to put on their business cards. Their requests were that it included the colors black and blue, as well as the city of Jacksonville, Florida where they are based out of. I ended up using the city skyline to incorporate Jacksonville. The clients were very happy with my work, as they still use this business card today. I created this business card using Adobe Illustrator.

NASA Poster

I created this poster during my time as Masters student at IUP. I was tasked with creating a poster that would subtly advertise a science organization. I ended up choosing NASA and created a few different samples. This poster was my favorite of the group. I created this poster using AI in Adobe Photoshop, which took a good bit of work. AI can be tricky when trying to make something perfect, as it has trouble generating certain elements. The issue I had most with this poster was trying to get the aliens hands to actually look like hands. This required a good bit of trial and error, but I eventually got it to a point where I was happy. Overall, creating this poster was a fantastic learning experience and I am now confident in my abilities to use the AI in the Adobe Suite.

Gravy Boat Logo

I was tasked to create this logo for an up-and-coming food instagram page. The client goes by the name GravyBoat and request a logo consisting of a ship riding a river of gravy coming out of a real gravy boat. They requested a cartoonish feel with pastel colors to compliment their overall brand. I created this logo with Adobe Illustrator.

Social Media Samples Pittsburgh Steelers

In an attempt to break into social media marketing for a professional sport team, I created these samples to see what my capabilities are. These samples showcase various elements of Photoshop that I can utilize when creating content for a social media setting. These elements include the camera raw filter, different blend modes, shapes with different gradients, and many more!
